Mixed martial arts
Grappling-based training taught the way Damon learned it as a professional fighter: patiently, one position at a time, in a room where nobody gets thrown into anything they're not ready for.
What a session looks like
Sessions build real martial arts skills at each athlete's pace — grappling positions and escapes on the mat, pad work and footwork on the feet. Nothing is rushed, and nobody spars who didn't ask to.
Grappling asks for everything at once: balance, coordination, grip, core, and a plan. That's exactly why it works here. Every session challenges the body and the mind together, and every athlete works at the pace their body sets.
The room runs on respect. Athletes learn to be careful with a partner, patient with themselves, and disciplined with a skill that only comes through repetition.
Patience.
Position.
Practice.
Founded on it
Damon competed in professional MMA before Train Unique existed, and the program carries that standard: real technique, taught properly, adapted to the athlete learning it. It's a martial art, not a themed workout — and athletes can tell the difference.
